Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. Church members are involved in a variety of ministries.
Prayer Warriors
Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Our Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. The church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study on Wednesday Evenings. Special prayer request are shared at this time and we pray for our church, its leaders and ministries, and the missionaries serving around the world. We also have a ladies group that meets on Friday mornings to pray for our families, communities and church as well as lifting up praises and praying for the lost.
Music
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Mission Outreach
Faith Bible Church is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. The 4 missionaries Faith Bible Church supports are located in five countries—Jamaica serving with Source of Light Ministries International, and the United States serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators, Chosen People, and C.S. Lewis Society. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.
Media & Technology Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of this church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in audio format. We also maintain an active Facebook page for additional church communication.
The FBC Statement of Faith
We believe:
- In the one true, living, and eternal God who exists as three beings, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Each are uniquely separate but exist as One.
- The Holy Scriptures are without error and have been given to us by God. The Bible is the record of God’s interaction with His creation and is the absolute authority in our lives.
- Man was created in the image of God but is separated from his Creator by sin. Because of this separation man lives under the condemnation and judgment of a holy and just God.
- That God came into the world as Jesus Christ, wholly man without sin, yet wholly Divine. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
- That salvation is by faith alone, made possible by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, which was His sacrifice for our sins.
- That Jesus Christ is the sole authority of the kingdom of God and he now acts as an advocate for his believers.
- That the Holy Spirit now prepares us for the day of our judgment by teaching us the ways of Jesus Christ, the conviction and repentance of our sins, and the righteousness of the Lord our God.
- That Jesus Christ will return for the final judgment of all people.
- That there is a real heaven and a real hell as described in the Bible.
- That the church is God’s outpost in the world, ruled over by Christ, where believers gather to bring glory to God in worship and service.
- That baptism by immersion is the believer’s proclamation to the body of Christ that they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and believed that God the Father sent him into the world to die for our sins.
- That the Lord’s Supper, Communion, is our act of remembrance in honor of Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins.
The Vision Statement of Faith Bible Church is “I am a C.H.I.L.D. of God”
This vision statement is designed to help us remember the vision that God has given us here at Faith Bible Church to continue the task of reaching the lost. It is a vision based on God’s Scripture and provides a mental picture of what a faithful and active body of Jesus’ followers should look like. It is not only our goal but the end results of our commitment to Jesus Christ as one born into the body of Christ. When people see us, they see children of God.
